I think lawyers are good if they have a Navy background
This discussion on Zeb's forthcomming book was very good, but somewhat incomplete.I submit that in order to change the culture of the State Department and the Agriculture Department and Homeland Security we must recognize that some political appointees will have to be tolerated as a seperate career path. But the professional people will be expected to accept assingments in the flash points of the struggle against Radical Islam.

Irv repeated the story about the Israeli Air Force destroying the nuclear facility in Syria several weeks ago. He pointed out that Israeli commandos had landed and were in position the day before the air strike and highlighted the target with lazers-pointers. The hyped Russian ant-aircraft system installed for the Syrians by Russia did not work. It caused panic in the streets of Tehran, because the Iranian concluded that the Israelis could also strike them. Russia is now playing a psychological war game by announcing that a newer more effective anti-aircraft and anti missile system will soon be installed by the Russians. Irv is from Missouri: he will have to be sown that there is such a Russian system.
